In addition to the series of economic relief measures implemented by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC)  and its dual licensing regime, the authority has reached an understanding with the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) to allow entities registered under DMCC to operate outside the freezone.

This measure is available for 32 specific activities and it is aimed at supporting existing and new businesses expand their outreach and develop their customer base.

Companies wishing to benefit from this opportunity will have to obtain a NOC through the DMCC portal which will allow them to operate outside the territory of the DMCC freezone. The NOC is valid for 90 days.

Companies that (a) have an active sanction on their account, (b) have applied to amend their activity and (c) have submitted a request for license or company termination will not be able to apply for the NOC.

The respective NOC will then have to be presented to DED to enable the company to obtain the required permit to operate onshore.
