The Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Continues to grow foreign investment in Q2 of 2019

The Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA) is the sole provider of Foreign Investment licenses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since its creation in 2010, SAGIA has significantly increased the level of foreign investment into the Kingdom and continues to grow rapidly. In Q2 of 2019, SAGIA issued 291 new foreign investor licenses which is more than double the number of licenses issued in Q2 of 2018.

Approximately 70% of the new foreign investor licenses are for entities with 100% foreign ownership. These figures come as a result of recent economic reforms which make it simpler and quicker for investors/entrepreneurs to enter the market. Obtaining a SAGIA license now requires only two corporate documents and can take as little as three hours.

GCC Solutions work closely with SAGIA and our clients to further simplify the process for companies that intend on setting up in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For further information and to begin setting up in KSA contact a GCC representative on: [email protected]
